The Blue Dolphin Yoga Mission

Blue Dolphin Yoga has a four-fold mission:

  1. Partner with aquatic based business so they can grow and prosper
  2. Provide a healthy, efficient and fun way to exercise for people with paralysis
  3. Promote water safety and increase the number of swimmers in the minority community
  4. Keep our beaches and ocean clean to provide fresh water for our world

Helping aquatic based business prosper and embrace underwater yoga

In the U.S. there are about 2 million people that do scuba diving and another 1 million who are interested.   Most of these 3 million people are male.   There are 20 million people in the U.S. doing yoga and another 10 million who are interested.  Most of these 30 million people are females.   Blue Dolphin yoga is a perfect bridge that will allow ten's of millions of new people to utilize scuba equipment in a nonthreatening and familiar activity.

Providing a fun exercise option for people with physical challenges

Yoga is truly the gift of movement which connects the mind, body and spirit.  There are millions of people confined to wheelchairs due to spinal injuries and other ailments,  Blue Dolphin Yoga allows them to get out of the wheelchair and enjoy the freedom to relieve pressure to their bodies and mind.   To this end Blue Dolphin Yoga is a proud supporter of The Spinal Cord Injury Project, Stem Cell Research Center at the W. M. Keck Center for Collaborative Neuroscience

Promoting water safety and fun for minority children

The world is 80% water and 20% mass and the human body mirrors this ratio.  Blue Dolphin Yoga allows a person to enjoy their yoga practice on land and in the water.  Sadly, nearly 60% of African-American children cannot swim.   To this end Blue Dolphin Yoga is a proud supporter of the Make-A-Splash Foundation which is sponsored by USA Swimming.
